When it comes to energy efficiency, many electric cooperatives are practicing what they preach and building some of the most efficient buildings in the nation.  Using an “all-of-the-above” approach and deploying a wide array of new technologies, these cooperatives are modeling the practices they encourage consumer-members to follow. 

The Great River Energy headquarters in Maple Grove, MN, received Platinum LEED certification from the U.S. Green Building Council; NRECA’s Arlington, VA, building received Silver LEED certification.
