Jon Wellinghoff's Bio

Glenn English, CEO of the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association, congratulated Jon Wellinghoff on being named chairman of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC).

“Jon Wellinghoff is taking the helm of FERC at a critical moment for our nation’s utilities,” said English.  “America’s electric cooperatives stand ready to do our part, educating electric consumers on energy policy and the hard decisions we will all have to make in the coming years.”

“Jon understands cooperatives and the cooperative difference, and we look forward to working with FERC under his leadership,” said English.

The President also announced his attention to re-appoint Commissioner Suedeen Kelly to another term.
